Dupa iesirea din Cernavoda, Drumul Frumos incepe sa coboare catre “Atom” (canalul apei folosita la racirea reactoarelor de la Centrala Nucleara de la Cernavoda). Ce se vede in fundalul pozelor este o larga zona inundata prin iesirea Duanrii din matca, “zagazuita” de un dig firav care apara drumul. In mod normal, acolo este un mic firicel de apa situat in spatele digului, urmat de o zona larga de lunca care se intinde pana la Dunare.

Trecand “Atomul” am ajuns la baza digului, dupa constructiile industriale care se vad in pozele precedente. Am urcat pe dig cu masina si… surpriza : numai apa. Aproape ca era sa intru cu masina direct in apa !!! In mod normal, pentru a ajunge la firisorul de apa mai sus pomenit, trebuie sa cobori in spatele digului si sa parcurgi un platou larg de circa 100 m. Dupa acest platou relieful incepe sa coboare abupt, tinand un firicel de apa pe fundul unei vaioage astfel formate, apa rezultata din infiltratii, dupa care urmeaza lunca care se sfarseste in Dunare. Acum era doar apa. Apreciez adancimea apei in zona depresionara (vaioaga de care aminteam) la peste 2.5 m.
